Retreats for Partners or All Attorneys
We have been involved in law firm retreats for many firms - from some of the largest international firms to some of the strongest regional firms across the country. Retreats represent a serious opportunity for partners to validate their choice of firm and for management to move the partnership forward on genuinely important topics. Retreats need not be lavish to be effective. Our role can be limited to that of outside presenter on a given topic or be much more involved in the design and facilitation of the entire event. We also work behind the scenes for many firms designing retreats and all the supporting components without our attendance at all.
Custom Designed Surveys
Our clients commission Hoffman Alvary to conduct more specific and targeted surveys of peer firms on issues of importance. These commissioned surveys have recently covered issues related to the compensation and progression of Technology Specialists in intellectual property practices, the compensation and role of Staff Attorneys and most recently the changing mix and role of Off-Track Attorneys at high earning, national firms.
Partner Interviews and Surveys
As part of a variety of different consulting engagements we are often called upon to interview or survey some or all of the partners of a firm. As a knowledgeable third-party, we elicit significant depth and candor. Our confidential reports on these interviews and surveys can strongly influence management thinking or help galvanize partners as the firm faces challenging decisions.
