As a consultant at Hoffman Alvary & Company LLC, Joel Wacek provides financial and economic analysis related to intellectual property licensing and business valuation.  He also works with law firms on management and strategic consulting projects.

Mr. Wacek has worked on engagements involving:

• Intellectual Property Licensing: Mr. Wacek has managed cases involving intellectual property disputes from the discovery phase through trial.  He has conducted complex damages analyses including lost profits, reasonable royalties, and price erosion.  He has also assisted counsel in preparing for depositions and trial examinations.

• Business Valuation: Mr. Wacek has worked with the firm’s principals to provide economic and financial analyses of the value of license agreements, intangible assets, and business entities.

• Management and Strategic Consulting: Mr. Wacek has assisted with strategic projects for regional and national law firms, including creating client analysis initiatives and supporting the merger and acquisition process.

Mr. Wacek holds an M.B.A and a Masters in Finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, and a B.A. in both Economics and History from Boston College.
